Detergency SDL15B
Detergency SDL15B is one of the series of lubricant additives developed by us through technical cooperation with Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing. It’s made from dodecylphenol by means of vulcanization, neutralization and high-base reaction. This product is a kind of widely used lubricant additive of comprehensive performance, boasts extremely good acid neutralization capacity and high-temperature detergency, excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion control as well as good emulsion resistance and oil solubility. It’s compatible with sulphonates, alkenyl succinimide, ZDDP and other additives. It has prominent effect in reducing top-piston ring carbon and is widely used to prepare middle and high-grade ICE oils.

This product not only boasts excellent performance, but features light chroma and extremely low brass/lead corrosion, can be used to prepare high-grade ICE oil.

l Packing, storage and transport
Packed in 200L iron buckets or according to user requirements; transported in containers or by truck;
This product is not liable to flame, not explosive or corrosive, has storage life of 2 years;
Upon contacting skin by negligence, flush thoroughly with detergent and water;

3.2 High-temperature detergency
By coke board simulation test, the high-temperature detergencies of several sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolates with high base numbers are compared.

Notes: 1.The samples with phenoxide density 1.6% contain 15W/40 multi-level base oils, are prepared with 150SN, 500SN and 150BS base oils and viscosity index improvers, anti-foam additive and so on.

Test indicates that SDL15B enjoys quicker neutralizing speed and moderate CO2 release per base number.

Test indicates that SDL15B has the longest oxidation induction time and high-temp. oxidation resistance superior to other sulfide alkyl phenolates. Reference 2 has the best antiwear property at extreme pressure, and the others are equivalent.
Comparing sulfurized calcium alkyl phenolates with high base numbers to other market available similar brand products in physical and chemical indexes, high-temperature detergency (coke board test), acid neutralization capacity, oxidation resistance and antiwear property at extreme pressure, test proves SDL15B enjoys excellent comprehensive properties.
